Our Approach

Our approach to learning is ‘serious fun’. It’s an approach and mindset that has evolved thanks to 30 years experience in a series of careers: sports education, academia, private/corporate, and humanitarian sectors. This rich variety of experiences has shaped a unique approach to learning and personal development that:

Our Logo

The PLB Consulting logo represents a bridge. It grew out of our signature ‘bridge building’ team development workshop. It illustrates the links created between people when they work, learn and achieve together. We help people notice the links and create lasting bridges to enable new behaviours, feelings and relationships. We work to help people consciously create bridges between:

Pamela Lupton-Bowers

After careers in education and as a corporate trainer with Electronic Data Systems in Detroit, Michigan, Pamela Lupton-Bowers has spent 25 years in the humanitarian sector as a Master facilitator CPF, trainer and coach working with global International organizations and UN Agencies, such as WHO, WTO, World Scouts, Red Cross, World Economic Forum, Green Climate Fund, Concern Worldwide.

She’s designed and led dozens of leadership programs, and worked with almost 1000 front line, in-field and executive teams in 60+ countries helping to improve individual and team performance and strategize organizational futures.

She was a member of the Global board of IAF and was President of the Geneva chapter from 2006 to 2020. She is also an adjunct professor at Fordham University NY where she teaches team work and leadership on the International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance and the Masters in Humanitarian Affairs. She’s published articles in the Journal of Appreciate Learning, Association for Managerial Education, spoken at numerous conferences and also contributed chapters in humanitarian compilations.
